There is a new monthly release of Positron available, and it delivers some fresh new features for the Data Explorer! Positron’s interactive Data Explorer lets you interactively explore both files (like CSV and Parquet) as well as objects in your R or Python session. In this screencast, I walk you through how the Data Explorer works with a focus on some of the newest features, using last week’s #TidyTuesday dataset on British literary prizes.

Like I say in the video, what I am most excited about the Data Explorer is that it supports both the iterative, exploratory work that data practitioners need to do, as well as our needs for reproducible practices. If you are interested in experimenting with Positron, I invite you to download the most recent release and share your feedback with us.
